The Financial Benefits of Volunteering and Our Goal at Hands Up! Expo
According to research derived from www.independentsector.org, the value of volunteer time is estimated at $18.77 per hour. This estimate helps acknowledge the millions of dollars in value that individuals offer in dedicating their time, talents, and energy to making a difference in their communities. Based on a conservative estimate of 6,000 attendees, with half of them committing up to six hours per month, our goal at Hands Up! Expo will be to generate over $4 million in new volunteer value per year for our community.

With 150 non-profit organizations expected to be on hand at the conference, this on average will mean approximately 1,440 volunteer hours per non-profit organization or a dollar value of $27,029 per year. This does not measure the value of the additional benefit of thousands becoming more aware of your organization and its services and needs.
